I was a bit cynical when I purchased this product after reviewing all the positive and negative feedbacks. I did get a few other screen protectors over the last month or so from local stores and other websites, I give this item a 5 star after my trials on 5 similar items that have failed me and wasted my money. here are some pros and cons on this one...
Pros:
- very good quality. it's definitely not flimsy like the one I got from an other site. I actually can hold and control the sheet better which made the application much easier!
- Fits perfectly! OMG, what a relief! I was so frustrated with the one I had to trim to fit.
- It stayed on. (I had one that kept falling off!)
- Instruction is clear. The paper sticker is attached to the thin plastic sheet (1 on each side protecting the actual screen protector.)
- There's minimal reflections!!! I'm not saying no reflection at all, but much better than the thin one I got before. I have bad eye sights and it was one of my main concerns.
Con:
Cleaning the screen is crucial!!! I used very little warm water soaked soft cloth to clean my screen very well and let it air dry... DO NOT use dry tissue paper to wipe it dry, you'll get "invisible" lint left on the screen which u can't see until the screen protector is in place, then, it's painful to pull it back and almost impossible to remove the lint on the sticky side.
My biggest tip for everyone is to clean the screen very well!!! I'm leaving this one on for sure! Btw, I purchased my screen protector with this company, it seems that there're many others people selling the similar products and using the same pictures for the product... I'm a bit confused, just want to clarify.

The shipment for this product came surprisingly quick, not the two weeks I was expecting. I got it 3 days after placing my order. When I first got the package, the front cover stated that it was for "Mobile Phone" with a small "for Kindle I" sticker on the upper left corner- so I panicked. But upon opening it, I saw that it was the PERFECT size for the kindle 2. The sticker actually has very specific instructions, along with a peel-back sticker on both sides, with the front labeled clearly and the back labeled as well. (obviously the back is where you stick it onto the screen) I have no idea why people are complaining about a lack of instructions.
Before applying the sticker, it is ESSENTIAL that you clean your screen from dust particles and the such. If you have a vacuum suctioner that can clean keyboards, use that on the screen after wiping it clean to suction off any dust. If you don't have a vacuum, use a paper towel that doesn't shed little paper particles to wipe the screen from dust. Then apply the screen just like the PICTURE instruction shows.
I understand why a lot of people gave this product 1-star. It takes a lot of patience to apply it to near-perfection. If you have the ability to apply the screen with only one or two dust particles inside, consider yourself an expert.
I think that this screen-protector is of outstanding quality and design. It fits PERFECTLY onto the screen.
THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT:
1. To take the protector off because you would like to reapply it, or for whatever else reason, use a strong tape, like those clear packing tape that are 2 inches wide. Secure the tape tightly onto one corner of the screen protector (the corner you would like to peel the cover off from) and LIFT THE TAPE UP (don't peel it back-it will just peel off). This took me a couple tries, so be patient and don't get frustrated. If you do it correctly you should see the protector's corner lifting off your kindle's cover.
2. To clean dust particles off the protector side that sticks onto the kindle screen-- take the same strong tape and use it to stick the dust off. Use the tape's sticky side to dab at the protector's underside. This is 100% effective, if you have the right tape.
Once you are satisfied with the lack of dust particles under your screen protector, use the squeegee to rub out any air bubbles.

I was very skeptical about purchasing this product after reading the negative reveiws, but decided to go ahead and buy anyway. I decided that it would be worth it if it would give extra protection to the screen. I have a to small boys and I know that sooner or later they may get ahold of my kindle and once it is scratched its scratched. The screen protector arived through regular mail in an regular evelope, which was fine with me. It wasn't bent or damaged. I aligned the screen protector with the top of my kindle screen and gently peeled the plastic away from edge of the screen protector a little at a time. As I peeled the plastic away I applied the screen protector to the kindle screen. It took me a whole 30 seconds maybe start to finish. It went on perfectly straight and without a single bubble. I don't know if I just had good luck with applying it or what. I know that many people wrote about having an extremely hard time putting it on. Looks great, feels great and protects the screen. I would reccommend this product!
Yes, it will reflect light more, but I dont read under the sunlight! January 17, 2010

In my opinion, you are getting great value for the few cents you pay. The clear protective screen is not difficult to apply (sure, u need to have some experience and care doing it) you dont need to use any water, which could get into your device and damage it, and it offers you good protection. Of course, it is not antireflective, but that personally does not bother me, as I always read my kindle with a soft light anyways. I feel good my screen is protected agains finger prints and scratches, especially that my kids are getting interested on using it too.

1. this is NOT anti-glare, so don't buy it thinking that it is.
2. sure you have a reflection, but i have a billion lights on at home and i never have an issue "seeing my own reflection" in the screen when i read. this is probably a function of how i read, but i don't hold the kindle directly in front of my face or 100% parallel with my face. i hold the kindle like i hold a real book, no glare, no problem.
3. it's SUPER crystal clear so it's awesome to read.
4. i had NO PROBLEMS APPLYING IT. none at all. i have 3 dogs and applied it in a dog hair filled room with tons of dog hair on the blanket i was using and it only took one try to apply it.
5. the instructions are clear. BACK = the side that touches the kindle. FRONT = the side that you look at. if you screw up, you can tell b/c you're touching the sticky side and will have finger prints on that side.
6. i wiped the screen, blew on it to remove stray particles, and that was about it.
7. i applied it in ONE try.
8. it's perfectly tailored to fit the screen. no cutting needed.
i absolutely love this and it's great for the price. absolutely great for the price.
oh - i have NO AIR BUBBLES... but i bought my husband a $15 matte/anti-glare screen and had much more difficulty applying that than this.
